Oh, does your world not have it?

Christmas is a holiday in my World-- It's more seriously celebrated in Europe and the USA and stuff, like, religously, but in Japan we kinda borrowed it?

Families go out and order fried chicken, and give gifts, decorate the house with christmas pine trees and sparkly decorations, and couples go out on dates together!

Since Londeva is obv' based on London, England, they prob gonna do it more seriously here.

Uh well, I dunno toooo much about the like, religious stuff, but like, there's two parts, I think?

One is the Christian religious 'hey this was the day Jesus Christ was born and he's like, son of god or something and is super important' so let's celebrate'.

And the other part is 'There's this dude named Santa Claus that visits kids all over the world in one night to drop off toys to the good kids and coal to the bad kids. Kaiba-san actually had his essence here, since he's like, a fictional character but a lot of kids believe in him.'

Really it's a big holiday where families get together to have fun and eat good food and exchange gifts, or for japan, chicken, and we go on dates with our girlfriend/boyfriend and eat christmas cake! It's supposed to be romantic.

Both of those versions sound really stupid if you ask me. Surely there are better things to celebrate about in your world.

Aren't celebrations supposed to be real special?

Uh, I mean in Japan we celebrate a bunch of national holidays.

New Years is the big one; that's the really big family gathering, food, special movies, and going to the temple and shrines to get your fortune told for the rest of the year.

Coming of Age Day, Setsubun for the start of spring, Valentines Day, White Day, Cherry Blossom Viewings, Golden Week's got a bunch of holidays-- Tanabata for the Star Viewing, Obon for end of summer and honoring our ancestors, Halloween's becoming a thing too, and then Christmas at the end of the year...

So it's like, a yearly thing, you know? Tradition in all that.

Don't you have holidays or festivals in your world?

I feel like that many celebrations would take the feeling away from them. Then again, if you actually have opportunities to do so, I guess it would be different.

Which probably answers your question. We don't, really. Maybe the Wall Cult has something like a yearly wall appreciation day I don't know about, but I don't pay attention to them.

It's also a day where we give presents and gifts to people as a way to show our appreciation to them.

I suppose but that's what happens in my world. Why do you want to know about Christmas anyway?

Mostly because of the decorations and not understanding why they exists.

It's also a way to be festive too. Christmas is also a day to spread joy to everyone. If the decorations are a way to make people happy, then they would put it up.

From what you're saying, I'm guessing you don't have Christmas back in your world?

Wow, your culture sounds a lot different from mine just based on what you just said. Really different terms, too.

I'm used to gifts being a good thing. Something pleasant to give someone you like. That sounds like a fun alternative.

It's a holiday of some kind. I don't really know much about it other than what I've read in the library. It's a little similar to a holiday we celebrate back where I come from, though, but only slightly.

None. Most we celebrate are birthdays and graduation parties. There's nothing really annual.
