Hellooo dull folks of the Index!

I'm just putting a call out that Happy Hours at the Hydeout have been expanded to everyday, from dusk to dawn! For those who want a little more excitement in their lives before returning to their own boring ones. [Did he tell his employees about this? Probably not.]

Oh, and if you're feeling particularly violent, there's an arena downstairs. I expect to be entertained if you decide to use it.

I guess it was my turn to have my essence changed 'cause I'm Loki now. Quite the upgrade from folk hero to norse god.

Though I do have a problem. The essence change gave me a bit of a growth spurt so I don't have any spare clothes that fit me anymore. Should I try to learn how to fix clothes, or go somewhere to get new clothes?

Is this sort of thing— with people trying to hurt or kill people, I mean— is that normal in these stories?

[Look, if she's going to be here and feel safe, she has to know these things. It's also a good way for her to gauge what may happen if she becomes someone in a story like others have. If this isn't normal (or close to normal)... maybe she's in the clear and can feel a little safer here.]

Or is this just sorta... different from normal?

This is Ren Amamiya and I'm writing out a warning for everyone.

It seems for this story, those who have to play the role of Hyde are either forced to act evil against their will, or in my case, get possessed by my shadow. I didn't get any warning and didn't realize what happened until the scene was over and I got control of my body back.

I don't know if there's anything that can be done to prepare for it, but it seemed better to warn all of you in advance for the other acts coming ahead.

[Since it's kinda hard to write with claws, but luckily the journal can just use thoughts-to-text instead.]

I think I finally figured what's up with my damn additions. It's the freaking rose. Every time a petal falls, I get something new. I probably should have figured it out from the story behind my essence. Now I'm kind of pissed off I didn't.

Now I need to figure out how to use my hands now that they're claws. If... anyone has any tips regarding that, I'd appreciate it.

When I first arrived here, I had horns on my head. A few days after I grew some kind of ears and a fluffy tail. I assumed they'd disappear after a while like my "full transformation" but they didn't. I guess they're a permanent change. Has anyone had something like this happen to them? According to the story I'm from I should look like a beast full time but instead I change into one with a trigger. I guess it's convenient if I need some extra strength.
