This is Ren Amamiya and I'm writing out a warning for everyone.

It seems for this story, those who have to play the role of Hyde are either forced to act evil against their will, or in my case, get possessed by my shadow. I didn't get any warning and didn't realize what happened until the scene was over and I got control of my body back.

I don't know if there's anything that can be done to prepare for it, but it seemed better to warn all of you in advance for the other acts coming ahead.

The shadow is your other half. The part of you that you don't want others to see, that you aren't proud of. Shadows and personas are two halves of the same coin.

[He hopes that helps. He and most of his team didn't have to face their shadow, though Futuba kinda did. Hers was a unique case.]

At the very least, it only seems to last during that scene, so it's temporary. But still not something people should have to be forced to deal with.

In the original story, Hyde was Jekyll's "evil side". Everyone has a shadow side to themselves, so in a way, it does make sense.

I guess by giving my shadow the power to take over?

The message surprises him. Since when would a cop show actual concern? This has to be some kind of trick. Though it might be suspicious if he doesn't reply. So he forces himself to reply, with the same forced neatness.]

I kinda did with mine. When I was first awakening to my persona, I heard Arsene's voice. He was trying to encourage me not to let Ryuji get killed just to save myself.

I of course awakened, and saved us from the shadows and Kamoshida's shadow. Long story.

I had to face him twice before. Being possessed is new but... still.

Just sucks I can't seem to keep control, I guess. I know it's nothing I did but it totally feels that way anyway.

If that were true, then it's my own fault that I let my shadow take over too. At least our shadows can't possess us again.
