This is Ren Amamiya and I'm writing out a warning for everyone.

It seems for this story, those who have to play the role of Hyde are either forced to act evil against their will, or in my case, get possessed by my shadow. I didn't get any warning and didn't realize what happened until the scene was over and I got control of my body back.

I don't know if there's anything that can be done to prepare for it, but it seemed better to warn all of you in advance for the other acts coming ahead.

In the original story, Hyde was Jekyll's "evil side". Everyone has a shadow side to themselves, so in a way, it does make sense.

I guess by giving my shadow the power to take over?

Yeah I fought the guy with his Essence. Know how that bullshit works. Didn't involve any shadows though. Must be a you thing.

That does make sense since all worlds are different.

So it's not your Essence and in yours shadows can possess people? Sounds like a pain in the ass.

Normally a person's shadow can't possess them like that, and it can't possess other people.

I assume either it's the Storyteller's doing or something to do with the story itself causing that.

Weird. Hopefully I won't have to deal with it.

[But she figures she will at some point.]

At least right now it's just people playing roles. If it spreads outside of that, it's gonna be a pain in the ass to knock some sense into a bunch of people.

That would be a major problem if it gets worse to the point where we would have to do that.

If it helps nothing like that happened in the last few stories we did. But this one's weird.

A little, but now I'm a little concerned that trend will end if this story is unusual from past ones.

I suppose all we can do is be careful.

[Are they gonna have to watch out for more possessions/personality changes outside of scenes in the future?]

Yeah I don't like it either.
