Sender: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde | Disciple
Recipient: Everyone
I'm looking for someone to spar with. My skill with a sword has been lacking as of late and I need to return to form. As a warning, do not offer if you cannot stand up to Hyde. I cannot guarantee your safety should he make his appearance.
Also.
[There's a pause before the writing continues.]
What do people like to do?
[OOC: Please no more than 2 people offering to spar with him.]

Of course you would. Are you available tomorrow?

That works. I'll see you there at this time then. [Insert a time and a skip?]
no subject
Sounds good, see you then.
[There may or may not be a happy hum as he closes the journal, and there may or may not be a very eager grin on his face when he meets Disciple at the designated location. In fact, he may even be a little early.]
Hey, Disciple!
[A much too friendly greeting. Clearly he's been looking forward to this a little too much. Yeah, yeah, Hyde might not appear, but just the possibility already has him happy.]
no subject
Don't over do it, if things start looking bad.
no subject
[...Sure that makes sense.]
Besides, it wouldn't be too bad to see how far you're pushed before he pops out.

No, but would you rather I didn't put a warning?

[Someone still salty about that? What could ever suggest that?]

It's not another emotion blocker, is it?

That actually sounds pretty useful. And that could help you keep control better?

I'm familiar with fencing as well, but not as well practiced in the technique.
no subject
If you want to learn more about fencing though, I'm sure I could teach you a thing or two. I'm quite a master of it, if I do say so myself.
no subject
Mr. McDuck. Before we move on, are you familiar with the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?
no subject
Aye, I'm quite familiar with it.
no subject
Hyde has a habit of manifesting when I'm in combat. It excites him. The stories don't mention him having supernatural strength, but the one here does. Will you be able to handle yourself if I'm unable to contain him?
no subject
You just worry about yourself, if it comes down to it. Hyde is nothing to be sneezed at, I know, but I can handle myself just fine.
no subject
Understood.
If you are free today, I am available this afternoon to practice.
