I'm looking for someone to spar with. My skill with a sword has been lacking as of late and I need to return to form. As a warning, do not offer if you cannot stand up to Hyde. I cannot guarantee your safety should he make his appearance.

That actually sounds pretty useful. And that could help you keep control better?

That is what I hope. Don't expect immediate results, but if he can manipulate me as I am, the same could be said the other way around if I'm consciously aware.

It's not so bad, asking for help, huh?

I only did what I felt was necessary.

There's nothing wrong with asking for help, you know.

No, but I try not to rely on others so much. [He's just being stubborn.]

You sound a lot like someone I know from back home. He thought he had to do things on his own, too.

But relying on others isn't a weakness. Sometimes it's the greatest strength you can find.

I never said anything about a weakness. [He's rather quick to correct him. He pauses to give himself a moment to regain composure before continuing.]

I simply don't trust others as easily.

That's fair. But you've also had how many months to working with us, haven't you?

[chippedsoul]

That doesn't mean anything. You may come into work everyday with the same people, but you don't open up to all of them. Being together and trust don't always go hand in hand.

But you've had time to get to know us, and talk to at least some of us.

You're telling me there's not one person here you don't trust at least a little bit?

[Roxas will have a wait a bit before the Disciple finally writes something back.]

One, but not entirely. [...It's something at least.]

See? And that's not so bad, is it?

I'm not going to go and tell you to make friends with everyone here, but even having one person to trust is good. Especially if something happens with Hyde. You'd want someone on your side to help you if that happens, right?

[He still wants to instinctively say he can handle things himself. It still makes him uneasy to open himself to someone else. Evenso, he can quietly admit that it's becoming a necessity to create bonds.]

If that is what I must do. [To survive.]

[For as much as he was annoyed with Disciple for handling the Hyde situation on his own until now, he's glad that it looks like Disciple is coming around, if slowly.]
