I'm looking for someone to spar with. My skill with a sword has been lacking as of late and I need to return to form. As a warning, do not offer if you cannot stand up to Hyde. I cannot guarantee your safety should he make his appearance.

[There's a pause before the writing continues.]

[He's figuring out his capabilities as well. This new upgrade felt good, but unwieldy under his control, more so than usual. He nearly loses his balance as he collides with Rokurou. He digs his claws into his sword, impressed Rokurou can hold him back.]

I need a bigger sword. [He pushes against him again, trying to see if he can apply enough strength to force him to move.]

[Rokurou does have to exert a lot of strength to keep Hyde back, but so far it's still manageable. Not something he'd want to do for too much longer, but long enough to smirk.]

Looking at you, you could probably use a few other things in a larger size.

[With a burst of force and strength, Rokurou pushes his blades forward against Hyde before swinging one outward and away, intending to strike him while disengaging at the same time. Although he initially uses one so as not to expose his defenses too much, he'll be quick to follow up the first strike with the second blade, the first blade already swinging back down for a triple strike.]

Hng! [Taken aback by the sudden burst of strength, he could only step back and be dictated by Rokurou where to move. He ducks and weaves through Rokurou's swings, though he could feel the third hit graze his shoulder. He starts to bleed, but the healing process was already at work mending the wound.

Not having any of this, he goes in for a kick to his side.]

[It's a well-timed kick and there's no real time for him to avoid it completely, so he winces as it connects. It's definitely strong, on par to some of the higher level daemons back in his world. Hastily he shifts his weight to keep his balance after a quick stagger, keeping himself aware and adjusting his blades a little defensively as he does since he knows this is an opportunity for Hyde.

There's also a gleam of his daemon eye as he tries to keep track of his movements.]

[He is definitely following up, swiping at him with his claws to keep him from trying to retaliate. The glint from his deamon eye isn't missed and he recalls something about that eye being able to see certain things. Hmmm.

There's a shift in his attacks as he aims higher. That leaves the lower half open, but hopefully he'll be ready with well aim kick.]

[Adjusting to the higher aim, Rokurou continues to quickly move and step around to avoid the claws. A few graze him, the sound of fabric tearing clear, but he doesn't mind it. Instead after one swipe he jumps a step back to shift into a stance, and when Hyde attacks again—

He can't execute the original technique completely, but he doesn't need to. The moment the claws are parried by his blades, there's a small burst of wind before Rokurou seems to disappear from in front of him. Executing a type of flash step, the daemon is now behind Hyde. Traditionally this would come with a cyclone, but the elemental aspects of his artes were lost in the transition into the realm. Regardless, the repositioning is the most important thing.]

Huh? [Rokurou suddenly disappearing catches him by surprise. That's fast, but he doesn't let that distract him for long. He's not letting him have that satisfaction. Not knowing where he's showing up or to expect, he blindly swings his arms around to hopefully force him to retreat.]

[He wasn't sure how Hyde would react, so going in for a low sweeping kick from behind ends up being a wise move given how wide that arm swings.]

[And he will successfully knock him off balance and hit the ground.] Ugh, you little... [How about he just lifts this piece of earth he's standing on then!?]

[—Yeah that would definitely catch him off guard.]

Whoa—!

[There's not much he can do but stagger and be flung into the air depending on how much force Hyde is putting into that lift and whether he's going for a ride.]

[Hyde doesn't have much control over his strength, nor does he care. So he'll send the that piece of land upwards with Rokurou on top of it. He then leaps along after it, punching through it and sending debris in every direction. Hopefully Rokurou won't be found at the end of his fist.]

[Rokurou is indeed smart enough to not stick around the piece of earth—he remembers the last time they fought and Hyde's wild flinging of trees. However, he only just barely misses the punch, staring up at that moment to catch the act. He then has to cross an arm over his face to shield himself from the shattered debris and really all he can do is fall to the ground and land, already shifting himself and keeping his gaze upward to watch Hyde.

Okay, technically he could also shoot Hyde from this range, but he's trying to save that as a last resort.]

[A smile spreads across his face. Gravity catches up with him and he'll eventually have to head back down. He's coming down like the force of a bullet. Rokurou is going to turn into a pancake if he doesn't plan to counter or move.]

[MOVING SEEMS LIKE THE SAFER OPTION HERE so just going to try and jump back a few extra feet to avoid that.]

[The ground shakes as Hyde makes contact with the earth once more. As the dust cloud clear, a small crater had been form around where Hyde had landed.]

Hehehehe, aww, I thought you were made of tougher stuff. [He straightens up, bones cracking back in place. Looks like he wasn't fully unscathed from the impact.] Isn't this what you wanted~? Ah- [You're not going to last if you keep this up.] Tch, you're awake now, huh...? Well, you can watch as I crush this fool!

[Without missing a beat, he grabs a stray piece of debris and comes charging at Rokurou with it. It wasn't exactly a pebble, it was big enough piece to smash someone's head in.]

[He didn't fully catch what Hyde said, but he did notice a slight change, as if something distracted him. Also he seems to be...talking to someone else?

Disciple?

Not like he had much time to dwell on it because Hyde is charging at him. Wary of the object in his hands, Rokurou will maneuver to sidestep and try to counter with his blades.]

[He swings with all his might, barely giving himself time to defend himself when Rokurou avoids his attack and swings his blades at him. He back steps, throwing the debris in his direction to stop his advance. He doesn't get out completely unharmed, Rokurou manages to get another cut to his side. It hisses as the wound starts to heal itself.

What are you hoping to accomplish fighting like this? You can't heal forever. ] Quiet! This is what you want! [He gets his bearings again and lunges at Rokurou with his claws out.]

[As Rokurou continues to keep an eye (and ear) on Hyde's conversation with himself, he lets him catch his blade with his claws, only to let it go and summon another one to slam the hilt right in his chest, as close to the solar plexus as possible.]

[The distractions only further Hyde's recklessness as he falls for the bait and stumbles right into the hit from that hilt.] Grrk!!

[The hit causes a gagging reflex as he staggers backwards and hits the ground on all fours.] Ugh, you...I would have had you...! [You weren't anywhere close to doing that.] Oh, shut up! If you-..if you kept your mouth shut...he be dead in my claws! [Glad I didn't. He snarls at nothing.]

Why are you so damn loud!?

[Shifting his stance, Rokurou continues to watch Hyde and hear this one-sided conversation. He had his suspicions, but—]

So, sounds like Disciple is actually conscious in there, huh. Hey, how'd I do?

[Being an annoying little shit, Rokurou just cheerfully calls out to him, wondering if Disciple could actually hear him or not. Of course he could take this opportunity to knock Hyde out for good, but... ...If Disciple is in there, and since they were basically testing the limits, it's more or a less a chance to see if this much is enough for Disciple to take over or not. He doubts it, but can't hurt (maybe).]

[Disciple can hear him, but he can't really respond. Hyde can sense the amusement though and that gets on his nerve. This was his fun time, not theirs.]

Grrr....don't, ignore me! [Like a bullet being shot, Hyde suddenly lunges at Rokurou with renew fervor. He intends to tackle him down, maul him, anything that he get his claws on. He's pissed. Disciple can do nothing, but observe and annoy Hyde like he would towards him. At least Naomi's potion seems to be working, just can't quite make that push for control.]

[That speed and lunge would definitely be a problem for most people. But since Rokurou had been prepared, he's able to pivot on his heel and side step him at the last moment. As he does, his arm is already moving and he swings it back to slam the hilt of his blade against the back of Hyde's head.]

[It was reckless of him, more so than he already was to make himself so predictable. The hit from the back of his head knocks him senseless as he drops onto the ground facedown. He then quickly covers his neck. Too close, that was too close.]

Damn it. How am I suppose to fight with you yapping away!? [And to top it all off, his stomach starts making "I'm hungry" noises.]

[T'ch, still conscious, huh? Though interesting how he's covering the neck.

In any case, although he doesn't want to critically injure Disciple, he'll take the opportunity to slash at Hyde's arm.]

-!! [Right, of course Rokurou was still there and going to take advantage of this. He tries rolls out of harm's way, but he was slow to react and the sword scraps his arm. The cut is deep enough that it won't heal up right away.]

Back off! [Rather than back up himself, he retaliates by swiping back with his other arm.]
