[Ren's writing isn't as neat as before. It's shaky like if someone was writing while feeling really upset. That said, it is still easily readable.]

Goro Akechi is gone. I found his letter.

Just letting others know for those who might have been friends known him.

[Then there appears to be a wet spot. Like if someone had scanned something that, had gotten wet but then dried later, on a scanner connected to a computer.]

[He realized a tear had dropped and quickly wrote the next sentence while trying to will himself not to start crying completely.]

That must have been super difficult for the driver to get through those tiny streets. I wonder how many things they ended up running over.

Still, as leader, it's important to keep up an image of strength. You're looked on for both guidance and confidence so morale is kept up. Otherwise, the team would fall apart.

But also...don't put the world on your shoulders either. [It's funny cause they both world arcana now.] That's what your friends are there for. When I fought Elizabeth-san, I kept getting up because my friends were with me. They were the ones who tried to push me out of Izanami's way too...that's what I consider strength. It's true you have to help them out...but they help you out too. I'm sure they'd all be happy to be the shoulder for you to cry on.

True. They did their best to help me when I spend a month in juvy and got me out as well as my record cleared the day before Valentines day. Even my confidants helped out too.

[So he's well aware the importance of bonds.]

Confidants are your bonds, right? I could see them do the same...when I fell by Izanami's hand they all cheered me up to continue to get up and fight.

That's right. I'm not sure why it's so different than your and Makoto's case. It might be something to do with that fake Igor but who knows.

A similar thing happened when we fought Yaldabaoth and Arsene became Satanael. I could hear everyone, even the normal citizens, cheering us on, and it gave us the strength to beat him. And shoot him in the face.

You know, technically I did that too. Granted, it was more like Izanagi-no-Okami shot a laser into Izanami's face with the power of truth.

[Maybe not as cool as popping a cap into someone's face but...you know.]

[He's definitely familiar with their mythology though he isn't an expert per say. Yusuke likely knows more than him.]

I may have dramatically thrown my glasses on the ground because I didn't need them anymore against the fog.

Looking back I feel bad, since Teddie had given them to me.

[Ren doesn't know much about the TV World other than persona user can go inside it or push people in.]

Your friend could make glasses?

You know I never did question how Teddie made glasses, or grew his own body.

Maybe because he was a shadow that ended up with a Persona?

Without glasses you couldn't see in the TV world. It was a dark yellow fog everywhere.

[He could see Morgana bugging Teddie to tell him how he got himself a human body and then try to do it himself.]

Morgana is similar, but he was created by the real Igor when he got captured by Yaldabaoth. But he already had his persona when Ryuji and I met him.

[He's not sure if Igor designed him that way, or something that naturally happened to him.]

Oh really? That sucks. At least in the Metaverse, being able to see wasn't a problem.

Igor is truly terrifying in terms of power...its good he was able to at least help you in that way.

It makes sense..the fog was created by Izanami. Or well, aspects of her. I had a friend, Marie who was the original Izanami-no-Mikoto. The one who wanted to protect humans instead of trying to control them.

Sounds like Yaldabaoth wasn't that far off when he pretended to be Igor.

Yaldabaoth also wanted to control humans too, which makes sense since he was the god of control. He manipulated a lot of things to guide me and other humans into "ruin". Even tried to make a deal with me where he would give me and the other Phantom Thieves power while he controlled over everyone else in the real world.

I said no of course. People can change and they aren't just mindless sheep that would rather be controlled than think for themselves, or even care for others.

They always try to tempt with power. In my case she tried to say I should be contempt with my role and submit to peaceful lies.

I also refused as well. I have a feeling most of us did this, if we're all still around.

Peaceful lies, right? That sounds like Maruki and his false reality he made using his persona's power once. It was a world that made everyone happy, but it wasn't real. He really meant well and didn't want anyone to suffer. He didn't understand that without pain, you don't change or grow as a person.

We managed to stop him and restore reality back to normal, as well as make him see he was wrong.

[He may likely leave out the part about his friends being under Maruki's control at first. Seemingly preferring that reality over the old one.]

It hurts, but it is important, yeah. And I wouldn't want just one person or one god deciding for everybody else. That's not now the investigation team rolled.

And it's not how the Phantom Thieves of Hearts roll either.

[Especially since he and his team had to rebel to awaken to their personas after all.]

That's a fun group name. Maybe if we ever met back home we'd end up being rivals, huh?

Well we are phantom thieves and we still the distorted desires of those corrupt, especially corrupt adults, and force a change of heart.

Thus the name.

Maybe. You would have some competition in terms of rivalry with Akechi.

Both of you lost friends, I don't see how one trumps the other.

I know, and you can take care of me later if you want...however Yosuke has gone back home...Akechi's fate is a little more iffy.

I see. And did he accept that fate?

I don't know. Ren would know more than me, but I didn't want to pry too much either. All I know is that seeing Akechi here might be the only time he does.
