[Ren's writing isn't as neat as before. It's shaky like if someone was writing while feeling really upset. That said, it is still easily readable.]

Goro Akechi is gone. I found his letter.

Just letting others know for those who might have been friends known him.

[Then there appears to be a wet spot. Like if someone had scanned something that, had gotten wet but then dried later, on a scanner connected to a computer.]

[He realized a tear had dropped and quickly wrote the next sentence while trying to will himself not to start crying completely.]

Note to self, don't write while cutting onions.

They always try to tempt with power. In my case she tried to say I should be contempt with my role and submit to peaceful lies.

I also refused as well. I have a feeling most of us did this, if we're all still around.

Peaceful lies, right? That sounds like Maruki and his false reality he made using his persona's power once. It was a world that made everyone happy, but it wasn't real. He really meant well and didn't want anyone to suffer. He didn't understand that without pain, you don't change or grow as a person.

We managed to stop him and restore reality back to normal, as well as make him see he was wrong.

[He may likely leave out the part about his friends being under Maruki's control at first. Seemingly preferring that reality over the old one.]

It hurts, but it is important, yeah. And I wouldn't want just one person or one god deciding for everybody else. That's not now the investigation team rolled.

And it's not how the Phantom Thieves of Hearts roll either.

[Especially since he and his team had to rebel to awaken to their personas after all.]

That's a fun group name. Maybe if we ever met back home we'd end up being rivals, huh?

Well we are phantom thieves and we still the distorted desires of those corrupt, especially corrupt adults, and force a change of heart.

Thus the name.

Maybe. You would have some competition in terms of rivalry with Akechi.

Well the Investigation Team is not the type to just wave the white flag! I can't say I agree with changing someone's heart but I won't judge unless I see it myself.

Well, one team against the other...it's happened to mine before, when the Shadow Operatives showed up in Inaba.

We're well aware that it can be abused, which is why we only go after those that are harming others and normal methods don't work. We make sure to do research to make sure.

Ah yeah Makoto mentioned you knew his team after his time. And well that would depend on where we fought. If it was the Metaverse, you guys might have some trouble. But if it were that TV World place, it might be tricky for us.

[Mostly because he doesn't know really anything about it other than there being fog.]

I'm sure you have your reasons, it's just not something I'd do. But again, I can't say until I experience it myself.

And right! I don't think you'd do badly in the TV World...the Shadow Operatives were pretty strong in there as well. In a way, it might be a bit like the Metaverse. There's no fog in there anymore so you wouldn't need glasses.

Would you stand aside if a bad person were hurting others and talking to them and higher authorities won't work?

[Ren's not judging. Just merely curious on Yu's views.]

That's good. Though I do wonder if there was fog there if our masks would work just as well as those glasses.

[Granted most of the masks don't have lenses except for maybe Oracle, so it's hard to say. Then again, Metaverse and TV World logic isn't the same as real world logic.]

Well I'd cross that bridge when it comes to it, so to speak. I'd like to evaluate situations first.

That could be interesting to test out...I don't think that will happen here, however.

I can understand that. It's why we make sure to do some research beforehand to make sure the heart change is really needed.

That would require having our powers back, and this place connecting with there.

Yeah...for now we're stuck here trying to help out stories, right?

Hopefully the next story we save isn't a horror one. I don't think I could handle two Londevas.
