[The writing is jagged and scratchy, like someone in a rush to get a message down.]

Stay out of my way if you don't want to die. Don't even bother trying to stop me. You have no power against me in this story.

[There's a short pause before more writing appears.]

I won't say no to a challenge though. Just be prepared to die.

[Goodness it's hard to contain his excitement as he scribbles messily back.]

Looking to volunteer yourself despite the warning?

["Warning"]

If you could call it a warning.

Considering our current record when it comes to fights, I'd say I have a pretty good shot at living :)

[Yes he draws the smiley face there]

[Wow.]

You're about to find out how wrong you are. Come find me if you dare then. I won't be hard to locate.

[Just follow the destruction.]

I won't be too long!

[And no, Hyde does not make it hard to find him. Roxas has very little problem tracking the other down, though when he does he makes his way over casually. Letting out a low whistle as he eyes the damage.]

Someone's been having some fun, haven't they?

[Hyde might also notice the white hair and yellow eyes, very different than Roxas's usual blonde-haired blue-eyed appearance.]

[Hyde was in the middle of stomping onto a poor villager several times into ink goo when Roxas arrives, the ground shaking with each stomp. His unsettling smile widens at his work as he turns his attention at Roxas. For a moment, he didn't realize it was the small boy name Roxas due to his appearance.

Either way, fish boy is still fish boy.] I'm not finished yet. [He drops on all fours, like a beast preparing to pounce on it's prey.]

I was hoping you weren't! It would be pretty boring if I came all this way and didn't even get a chance to have some fun.

[For one, Roxas isn't exactly perturbed by the display; rather, instead of looking horrified or crying out for Hyde to stop, Roxas just sort of makes a face at all the ink around him.]

You really do like making a mess, don't you?

I think it makes a nice change of scenery. I'm hoping to add you to the pile.

[Without so much as establishing they were starting, he's already lunging at Roxas. A large clawed hand extends to swipe at him.]

[The sudden lunge makes Roxas's gold eyes widen, alert suddenly as that hand comes to swipe at him. While he's not able to dodge completely, he is able to react.]

[The claws sink into his form, but rather than blood, there's only seafoam and water. Roxas's physical form splatters and falls apart as he takes his seafoam form, the water darting to the side in a vaguely Roxas-shaped form.]

[He reappears a few feet away, a grin on his face.]

Right to the chase, huh? You'll have to do better than that!

[His claws scraps a bit of the pavement, knocking debris. Ah, right, this fish boy can become water. That's going to be a huge annoyance, but he has an idea.]

I'm just getting started! [He lifts another lamp post and takes a swing at Roxas.]

Woah!

[Roxas can turn into water, but only sparingly. He has to duck as the lamp post is swung at him, and he scampers back, a grin on his face.]

Getting closer! I think I felt the wind on that one!

[He begins retreating, glancing around. Was there any water nearby? Or a nearby sewer grate..?]

[There are parts of the ground in the more heavily destroyed areas of town that have cracked open to reveal the sewers beneath.]

Heh. [He's not sure if Roxas newfound cockiness is irritating and amusing. He digs his claws into the nearest building, breaking bits of debris as he flings them in Roxas' direction. While he's busy in the front, he'll jump to get behind him, slamming the lamp post downwards.]

[How lucky for Roxas! But getting a weapon will have to wait; he's got a chunk of building coming after him. He has to duck and weave around to avoid the building being tossed his way, but in doing so he notices Hyde attacking from behind with the lamp post.]

[Though, just because he notices, doesn't mean he can block.]

[The lamp post strikes hard, sending him flying, and crashing into a nearby pile of rubble.]

[He grins when he nails a hit. He looks around nearby, spotting what he was looking for, fire. He reaches into the crumbling building to grab a wooden beam caught on fire.

He then stomps over to where he had knocked Roxas, raising the flaming beam to strike him.]

[Wow, that hit really hurt. Roxas grits his teeth, forcing himself to sit up in the pile of rubble and ruined streets. His gold eyes widen as he sees that flaming beam coming down at him.]

[Reacting swiftly, he rolls to the side to avoid the flaming beam. He quickly sings a few notes around him to manipulate the water around him, creating himself a pair of Keyblades. Keyblades that he quickly throws at Hyde, the water-weapons spinning as they hurl, solid as is made of real steel, at Hyde.]

[Hyde doesn't have much time to dodge and uses the wooden beam to defend himself. He manages to deflect one, at the cost of the beam to be split into two. The other forces him to smash through one of the buildings just to avoid serious harm.

Dust and debris fills the area, but Hyde doesn't reappear from the building he crashed into. In fact, if Roxas were to investigate, he seem to have disappeared. There's a large hole in the ground though.]

[Roxas uses his magic to form two new Keyblades, readying for another assault from Hyde. But when none come, Roxas looks around, taking a moment to hop and climb out of the little hole that was made upon his own impact. He looks around, noticing the large hole in the ground. He lifts his head and calls out into the empty air.]

Getting tired?

[The muffled laughter that seems to be echoing everywhere within the building is the response Roxas gets.

Suddenly, there was an explosion of pavement and dust from behind. Part of the building above starts to crumble and fall apart. It seem like Hyde was forcing Roxas to get trapped inside the building with him.]

[The sudden explosion of pavement catches Roxas's attention, as does the crumbling building. Oh boy, time to go.]

So that's how you wanna play?

[With a growl, Roxas turns and runs, trying to avoid getting crushed by the crumbling building pieces. If that's how Hyde wants to play, Roxas has to adjust his own strategy...]

[Wow, that abrasive wording is like a breath of fresh air to Steelbeak. He already knows that Kazuma is kind of a weakling who wouldn't issue amazing challenges or death threats, so...]

Boss! You're back!

[Ah, it's his only favorite chicken.]

I never went anywhere. Don't believe everything the other says.

I wasn't gonna, honestly. The other guy is lame.

You got any plans you need help with?

Kill and destroy everything. They all just come back anyway.

Neat! Okay, and then what?

[He's used to his bosses having some very elaborate plans, so in his head this is just step one of... whatever it is Hyde wants to accomplish in the long run.]

[...Yea he didn't think that far. His enjoyment just comes from tormenting everyone.]

Take what you want. Pillage, loot, I care not what you decide to do.

Well, sure, that's kind of a given once you start a rampage. But there's an end-game to all that, right? Something that'll really pull the wool over everyone's eyes?

[...] There is something I've been thinking about, but you can worry about it when we get there.

There's plenty of work to do before that point.

[... Well, that's good enough for him!]

Alright, alright. I'll see what I can do. You have fun out there!

Really that bored, hmm? Considering this world is fucking awful, I don't blame you.

I was never one to follow the so called rules of society.

Not like these things or the people are real, so I don't see a problem if a few get knocked out.

I know, right? The losers at the party I was in couldn't fight at all. It was all too easy, and I didn't even have my knife or need to use my bow and arrows at all.

[He was under the punch's influence at the time but still.]

It might as well be a mercy at this point if they die and this world disappears.

[Man the real Ren is gonna regret what his shadow wrote later.]

Is that how you really feel? [Hyde is aware the story's influence is also affecting others, and he finds this all rather amusing to see how everyone's "Hyde" are turning out.]

So you've taken a life already? A few?

That's right. I am a shadow, the true self.

[Yeah he's not even bothering to hide it since he's not even pretending to be his normal self.]

Only the hostile blots and that plant monster in that one scene so far, though I have experience with fighting monsters.

Monsters are easy. Try real people. Us.
