Sender: Ferdinand the Bull (The Story of Ferdinand) | Wembley Fraggle
Recipient: Everyone
Hello? Um, yeah, hello. Oh boy, am I nervous! Let's see, well, my name's Wembley- Oh, it says that up there already. But I didn't write that...
[No, he did not read the page that explains the journal - not in full, anyway. He'd started, but Fraggles are - in general - an easily-distracted bunch.]
I came here to help the Storyteller, like they asked, but I think the storyteller should have picked somebody else. I'm gonna try being brave, though! My best buddy, Gobo, he's always doing brave things to help people. This is the sort of thing he'd do, and, well, all the things Gobo does aren't always the right thing for me, but I think this one is! And I really like helping people, too, so it's gonna work, right? I hope so. And I hope Gobo would be proud of me for trying.

[He grabbed Wembley's wrist and took off at an easy jog, their paces matching almost automatically after so long as friends.]

[The two of them went only a little ways into the forest before he slowed up, coming to a rocky area with a swollen hill. And above it, just what they were looking for.]
Well? What do you think, is that it?
no subject
I think it's big.
[All the same, he heads to the door - which is to scale with the building's exterior, (silly creature-sized,) but has two door knobs - one low enough for Wembley to reach. This is where the keyhole is found, and when the key clicks the lock open, he nods over his shoulder to Gobo.
Well, they found it... But it sure is overwhelming.]

[While Wembley went up to the door Gobo stayed down on ground level, tucking his hands into his vest pockets.]
Because my home is inside the hill it's on top of.
no subject
So we're neighbors? Oh! [He starts to run back down, trips over his feet a bit, and ultimately lands on his stomach at Gobo's feet - still grinning.] Well, that's great!
no subject
Yeah! I saw it when I was coming out to find you, I just didn't put two and two together until you said somethin'.
no subject
[Once he's back on his feet, he glances back over at the house. Does he want to ask to see Gobo's home first, or explore his own?]
So, what's your house like?
no subject
[He walked Wembley around to an aged wooden door supported by stonework on either side, set into the face of the hill and down a short set of steps. Once he'd fished out his own key- a winged compass -and unlocked the door, he bid Wembley to follow him.
The interior was softly lit and looked like a mix between "Fantasy medieval" and "Beatrix Potter." Guess which side had been Gobo's 'adjustments.']
Here we are! Like I said I've been here a few months, so I think I've got it just about as comfortable as I can make it. Plus, one of my powers is I can make tunnels anywhere I wanna go, and one of 'em will always lead me back here.
no subject
That must come in handy! [He snickers and nudges Gobo a bit with his elbow.] I think you did a nice job with it, Gobo!
no subject
[He clicked his tongue, looking around at the place. Then he tilted his head to look over at his best friend beside him.]
You know, there's plenty of space in here. If you, y'know, wanted to stay here until you adjusted to everything. And your own house is right above, it's not like you'll be going FAR...
no subject
Yeah? Well, I'd really like that!
[And one more hug for good measure.]
no subject
Great! I'd like that a lot, too. [He snickered some.] You know I'm not stranger to sleeping in a room by myself but, it'll be nice having you around again, too.
no subject
I can't believe you've been the only Fraggle here for so long... It's a good thing you made friends with some of the Silly Creatures here, though!
no subject
Yeah, I'm glad too. [Let's step out of this hug before he loses an eye. That wouldn't be a good look.] It's definitely made it a little easier, but I'm still really glad for another Fraggle. Especially that it's you.

Thanks, I-I do feel less scared than I thought I'd be... [He shrugs one shoulder a bit, eyes still on the floor.] That's something, right?
no subject
That's absolutely something! You'll be just fine.
no subject
Yeah! Yeah, I'll be just fine! [Another, quicker little laugh.] Hey, I think I still should see what my house is like, even if I'm going to stay here for now.
["For now." Or longer.]
You wanna come?
no subject
[He waved Wembley on to the door ahead of him.]
no subject
Gee, Gobo, I like the garden.
no subject
I don't have a garden. Those must've only shown up in the past few minutes.
no subject
[He scratches at his hair, but ultimately shrugs it off and starts his way up the hill... Wait, are those more flowers?]
no subject
Unless they're popping up like magic. Wembley, look behind you.
