Sender: Ferdinand the Bull (The Story of Ferdinand) | Wembley Fraggle
Recipient: Everyone
Hello? Um, yeah, hello. Oh boy, am I nervous! Let's see, well, my name's Wembley- Oh, it says that up there already. But I didn't write that...
[No, he did not read the page that explains the journal - not in full, anyway. He'd started, but Fraggles are - in general - an easily-distracted bunch.]
I came here to help the Storyteller, like they asked, but I think the storyteller should have picked somebody else. I'm gonna try being brave, though! My best buddy, Gobo, he's always doing brave things to help people. This is the sort of thing he'd do, and, well, all the things Gobo does aren't always the right thing for me, but I think this one is! And I really like helping people, too, so it's gonna work, right? I hope so. And I hope Gobo would be proud of me for trying.

Wow, he sure must be! Still don't get why you two have the same surname though.
and fyi your friend is here and we did meet him
no subject
Also, sorry Kokichi, if you wanted a proper response to the rest of that message, you shouldn't have mentioned Gobo.]
Gobo's here? I can't believe it! Well, I gotta find him! Or maybe I should wait for him to find me? I mean, Gobo is an explorer, and great at finding stuff... Oh, but I wanna see him right now!
no subject
Oh, he'll see you, all right. Everyone can see you writing stuff in this journal.
EVERYONE
no subject
[It surprises him, but it doesn't upset him! Fraggles are not exactly easily-embarrassed creatures, by their very open nature. So rather than panic, Wembley glances at the sender information, then writes:]
Thanks for all the help! Your name is Kokichi, right?
no subject
That's what it says at the top.
no subject
So Lampwick must be what your Essence is, right? What are they?
no subject
He's some kid who gets a bit part in a novel. Don't know why I got stuck with that guy.
[ THERE. THAT IS ALL THE EXPLOITATION YOU GET, FOOL. ]
Sender: Hermes | Gobo Fraggle
His writing is hurried and much bigger than it usually is.]
WEMBLEY!
no subject
Where are you right now?
[Not that he... Knows where anything in the Index is yet.]
no subject
Where are you? I'll come find you! -Better yet, I can do that on my own, just hold tight!
[And if Wembley replies it'll go unseen because he's, well, taken off out of his little cave home.]
no subject
How are you gonna know where here is?!
no subject
His excitement gets the better of him and the wings on the anklets glow, shoving him off his feet. This momentum gets used for a literal flying hug as he hoists Wembley off the ground and up into a couple revolutions in the air, laughing happily.]
Aw Wembley! It's great to see ya!
no subject
[He laughs it off as he returns the embrace, though, because it doesn't matter. That was a long couple of minutes where he thought he might not see Gobo for a good while. It's the same relief that means it takes him a minute to realize they're off the ground, and by then Gobo's lowering them back down, but-]
Wow! Gobo, how'd you do that?
no subject
Oh man, I've got a lot to go over with you. [He snickered softly, and glanced up for the first time. Ah.] Well, the flight's part of what the Storyteller gave me when I got here, and I'm gonna guess these are the same, for you.
[A little friendly tug on one of those horns.]
And from your perspective you just saw me, but from mine it's been a few months. Time works differently here, which is confusing but once you're in the Index it kinda doesn't matter anyway.
no subject
Yeah, this is what Ferdinand passed on to me! He's my Ess-
[WAIT...]
You've been here that long with all these Silly Creatures and no Fraggles? Gobo, that musta been scary, even for you!
no subject
[He laughed a little, smiling.]
And you don't have to worry about being here alone like I was at first.
no subject
[He's just going to hug Gobo again - he's so happy that he's not alone here; that he's with his best friend here. He could almost lift him right off the ground. Or, strike the almost, apparently - although that can be added to the day's list of "things Wembley isn't realizing right away."]
no subject
[Wembley didn't notice but Gobo did. It was hard to miss being swung up some off your feet. He snickered, looking down at him.]
I think- [Oof that hug was a little tight, any more and his back might pop] -Ferdinand gave you something else, too!
no subject
[Gobo's going to be dropped back down that couple of inches in Wembley's surprise.]
Sorry, but I think you're right! Okay, okay, so tell me all about this place! What do I need to know?
[He's just gonna plop down in front of Gobo so they're both on the ground. That seems fair.]
no subject
[And he launched into the explanation about the Index, Essences, and fixing stories. It was somewhat similar to what the Storyteller had told, but in this case going back over benefitted from it being another Fraggle. Not only did he know the best way to put things period, he knew the best way for Wembley so it got through. Eventually.
From there he summarized some of his life so far. Mostly exploring, figuring out his powers, and making friends. For now, he held off on telling Wembley about the recent troubles. Part because he didn't want to scare him, and part because he felt he'd said enough already. That story, that could come later.]
no subject
I'm really glad things have been working out, Gobo! [He laughs.] Except for getting all that juice poured on you.
So, you've got your own cave here, huh? [A sheepish smile and another chuckle as he rifles through his satchel... There it is. He holds up a green key with a red floral design on the handle.] You wanna help me find where I'm going to live?
no subject
[He grabbed Wembley's wrist and took off at an easy jog, their paces matching almost automatically after so long as friends.]
