So. I have a weird question, especially for the ladies.

Date suggestions, and maybe some advice.

Don't ask how this happened, I'm still trying to figure it out myself. (Shut up, Eizen.) But it's really more of a challenge than anything romantic, and I want to win this. [He's really selling his appeal, isn't he.]

Hunting and sparring is already an idea (yes, she does like those), but I was thinking of maybe trying something a little more...normal? [And now how does he talk about Velvet without saying it's Velvet and not potentially embarrassing her by talking too much.] I know some of her preferences and will try to keep those in mind, but that's about it.

So what do most girls generally like or don't like? Any good cafés or restaurants you've noticed around the Index? Or hangout place? I personally haven't really checked any before, but I will once we get back.

Like I said I'm not trying to win her over or anything, just let her actually have some fun and enjoy herself. She hasn't had that kind of experience in a while, so...

First of all, I can't really disagree on the "violence-sexual" thing, but I don't know how I feel about it being applied to us. If she hears that, she'll definitely kill you.

Secondly, guess that's a fair point. I'm not really looking for too normal myself since that would be boring for me, too.

Really, I don't know if there's anything we generally like or don't like, but I think any of those would be great! Maybe it's not normal, exactly, but who cares? Normal is dull. Sparring isn't a bad idea, either, but I think something where you're working together is a little better.

Food, or just for killing anything strong and dangerous that might be around. [ie, for fun.] So a mythical beast may be interesting...

But something with teamwork, huh?

Yeah, you absolutely want that teamwork aspect in there. Working together to hunt something down is a great way to bond with someone, in any way.

Like, okay - not the same sort of relationship, but as a kid? I spent some great Christmas Eves with my brother and uncle, waiting up to trap Santa Claus.

I haven't been on any real dates myself (just for scenes), but in any case, either a restaurant or a meal you cook yourself might be nice. (You are pretty good at it, after all.) What kinds of foods does she like? And does she secretly like doing fancy things, or will she hate it?

Because of her essence she's mostly into meat, but she can taste things again now. But I don't actually know what her favorite foods are.

As for fancy things—personally I can't see her voluntarily doing it, but she did surprise me earlier.

I think, the first thing, for you to realize, is that there's no 'general' like or dislike list, for ladies. Your sweetheart is as unique as you are, and you shouldn't complicate your courtship, by assuming there's a universal interest for women.

Well, "generally" girls like flowers and stuffed animals and cute things like that. But I dunno if those really apply here.

Then again, she might like flowers. [He doesn't know her specifically, so he can't say for sure.]

Horseback riding is always a fun way to spend the day. You could even make a race out of it.

Stuffed animals probably not, but flowers might not be the worst idea. Can't hurt to lighten the mood in the beginning at least.

But horseback riding... I haven't ridden a horse in a while, and not sure if Velvet knows, either. But that's an interesting thought. Given the current suggestions, I'll be needing one to pull a wagon at least, but hmmm.

Maybe change the wagon to a horse-drawn carriage for a tour around the Index instead.
