So. I have a weird question, especially for the ladies.
Date suggestions, and maybe some advice.
Don't ask how this happened, I'm still trying to figure it out myself. (Shut up, Eizen.) But it's really more of a challenge than anything romantic, and I want to win this. [He's really selling his appeal, isn't he.]
Hunting and sparring is already an idea (yes, she does like those), but I was thinking of maybe trying something a little more...normal? [And now how does he talk about Velvet without saying it's Velvet and not potentially embarrassing her by talking too much.] I know some of her preferences and will try to keep those in mind, but that's about it.
So what do most girls generally like or don't like? Any good cafés or restaurants you've noticed around the Index? Or hangout place? I personally haven't really checked any before, but I will once we get back.
Like I said I'm not trying to win her over or anything, just let her actually have some fun and enjoy herself. She hasn't had that kind of experience in a while, so...
Anyway, thanks.
[...That's probably as subtle as he can get, so he'll just leave it at that. But that should do it, right? Good enough. Just tell him stuff that will help him win this unsaid bet—]
[ooc: just a note that Rokurou filtered this away from Velvet, but that won't be obvious to other people. he doesn't necessarily want to announce it's with Velvet since that just seems weird (like this whole thing isn't already), but if asked he'd probably answer. OH and this is set during Act II while everyone is still kind of chilling.]

First: it happened because you're both violence-sexual.
Second: don't go too normal, look at who we're talking about. She cleans for fun.
no subject
Secondly, guess that's a fair point. I'm not really looking for too normal myself since that would be boring for me, too.

Usually, he wouldn't be really interested in such a gossipy thing, but. Well, it's Rokurou asking this, and as mentioned before, he's bored.]
So basically, it's a challenge to make the best date possible for this woman, am I reading this right?
[God, you're an idiot, Rokurou.]

I see.
[But, he'd let it slide... Okay, actual advice he could give...]
Does she like a particular kind of food? If she likes fighting and sparring so much, you could just go with that but have a meal ready for her after.
no subject
She's kind of really into meat right now. [HA HA....HA....] But uh... I'm actually not sure what she really likes.

Really, I don't know if there's anything we generally like or don't like, but I think any of those would be great! Maybe it's not normal, exactly, but who cares? Normal is dull. Sparring isn't a bad idea, either, but I think something where you're working together is a little better.
no subject
But something with teamwork, huh?
no subject
Like, okay - not the same sort of relationship, but as a kid? I spent some great Christmas Eves with my brother and uncle, waiting up to trap Santa Claus.
no subject
Or are they all actually monsters?
[His only experience with Santa was in one of the earlier stories, ha ha ha ha.]

Can't hurt to reply, I guess?]
Well, I can give some restaurant recommendations, but I need to know a few things first. Before I answer, though... Does Velvet-san know this is a bet? And can she read this?
[LOOK, she still remembers that mistake she make when Rokurou announced the barbecue party. Just looking out for him and Velvet. (She ain't gonna help a heartbreaker.)]
no subject
The next time you need any sort of alcohol, let me know and I'll try and make as many bottles as I can.
no subject
Thanks, Eizen-san, that's really nice of you.

the idiotone party says it's not a date, the other party is usually quietly dying inside.]If you're sure.
I haven't been on any real dates myself (just for scenes), but in any case, either a restaurant or a meal you cook yourself might be nice. (You are pretty good at it, after all.) What kinds of foods does she like? And does she secretly like doing fancy things, or will she hate it?
no subject
Because of her essence she's mostly into meat, but she can taste things again now. But I don't actually know what her favorite foods are.
As for fancy things—personally I can't see her voluntarily doing it, but she did surprise me earlier.

Sender: Princess Rosella
Congratulations on the intiation, of your courtship, sir.
I think, the first thing, for you to realize, is that there's no 'general' like or dislike list, for ladies. Your sweetheart is as unique as you are, and you shouldn't complicate your courtship, by assuming there's a universal interest for women.
Obviously, she already fancies you, and has shared her interests with you. Trust your instincts, and your knowledge. We are not as mysterious, as rumors claim. If you have questions, ask her. You may be surprised by her response.
Best wishes,
Princess Rosella of Daventry
[Yes she signed it, like a letter. And it's a very fancy, swirly signature.]
no subject
Thanks, I really appreciate the advice, but uh... Like I said, this isn't a serious date. We're not courting or anything close.
no subject
Of course, sir. I quite understand. You only wish to spend time, with your sweetheart, alone, engaging in activities, that she will particularly enjoy, that you might impress her. Forgive my misunderstanding.
Cordially,
Princess Rosella of Daventry
[Fancy, polite letters, can also apparently contain amused sarcasm.]

Then again, she might like flowers. [He doesn't know her specifically, so he can't say for sure.]
Horseback riding is always a fun way to spend the day. You could even make a race out of it.
no subject
[Just get her a giant bouquet of flowers for her to take and then smack him with or something.]
But horseback riding... I haven't ridden a horse in a while, and not sure if Velvet knows, either. But that's an interesting thought. Given the current suggestions, I'll be needing one to pull a wagon at least, but hmmm.
no subject
Maybe change the wagon to a horse-drawn carriage for a tour around the Index instead.
