I must inform everyone that the Under the Sea Apothecary will be limited on supplies until further notice. Also, has anyone else been having issues with their powers? I find myself either transforming in a few minutes or not at all.

There is. I don't know if that's the reason for my powers acting up however, but it does prevent me from brewing potions. I can only use the fish bowl I got after we repaired my story.

The water in the lake around my house has just been... odd. Smells wrong, tastes wrong too.

I know I was jumping the gun about the Index being attacked when we got out, but maybe it still is the Story Eater.

Well it's great I'm not going crazy. It's 'great' that now we have to worry about our essences being on the fritz.

Makes you wish you could just smack it like an old tv or something...

I think I'll make a request for my gun back. I can't rely on Excalibur or my other weapons. I got enough training to use a sword now, but I rather have a range weapon too.

Simple solutions like that would be too convenient. Also, detrimental in the long run.

Sounds reasonable. I may consider asking for mine, but even then, there's a matter of ammunition.

I did notice my arrows would miss the target sometimes, even when I have a clear shot. Or just disappear and reappear on me when I'm trying to shoot arrows.

[Which made training a total pain in the ass.]

I see. This isn't good. Even if we can still partially use them, this is quite the vulnerability to have now.

No kidding. Sure I have a knife to defend myself with in a pinch, but not being able to rely on my arrows is a problem.

How are you with firearms?

I'm familiar with fighting with a handgun, but that's about it.

You may want to consider getting one for now, until we know what's going on. Unless you can learn how to use our bow without your essence's aid.

That sounds like the best option. Part of my training was to get better with the bow so I didn't have to rely on my essence so much.

[Act 1 proved that he's lacking when it comes to combat with a bow.]

How has that been progressing? Do you think you could keep your bow on hand if you're out of options?

Slowly. I really should ask for training partners one of these days.

Unfortunately it only shows up when I summon it. If my powers disappear, no more bow and quiver.

See if you can get one from the shops for the time being. Even a little practice has value.

Yeah, that seems to be the only way I'll be able to resume training with my powers not working like it should.
